About Balkpop

Balkpop is my final year project artefact, developed as part of the CI601 Computing Project module at University of Brighton. It’s an e-commerce platform designed to demonstrate the use of modern web-development technologies like Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and MongoDB.

This E-Commerce platform allows users to create an account, explore, buy, and sell items across various categories, such as clothing, footwear, and electronics. It includes features like user authentication, account management, a shopping basket, and a simple checkout process.

This project showcases the practical application of full-stack development skills, the design, frontend, backend and deployment, the aim being to display my skillset that I have acquired in those 3 years of university, with an additional focus on performance, scalability, and user experience. It also focuses on secure and efficient data handling, which is essential for modern web applications.
